Ingredient by ingredient

What each active is
actually doing.

Five actives, one serving. The reasoning behind each one — what it does, why it's in the formula, and what the evidence actually supports.

Hydration

Electrolytes: why water alone isn't rehydration

Sweat isn't just water. It carries sodium, potassium, magnesium and chloride out of the body with it — and the harder and longer you train, the more you lose. Drinking plain water afterwards replaces the volume but not the minerals, which is why you can finish a bottle and still feel flat.

An electrolyte blend puts those minerals back. Sodium is the one lost in the largest amount, and it's what allows the body to hold on to the fluid you drink rather than passing straight through. Potassium works alongside it and contributes to normal muscle function.

This is also why the serving goes into 500–750ml of water. A full electrolyte load needs the dilution to be absorbed comfortably — it's part of how it works.

Strength

Creatine: the most researched supplement in sport

Creatine monohydrate is the single most studied performance supplement there is, with hundreds of peer-reviewed trials behind it. It works by topping up phosphocreatine stores in muscle, which is the fuel your body reaches for first during short, maximal efforts — a sprint, a jump, a heavy set.

The authorised claim is specific: creatine increases physical performance in successive bursts of short-term, high-intensity exercise. That's exactly the demand profile of football, rugby, court sport and interval training — repeated efforts with incomplete recovery between them.

Creatine works on saturation, not on timing. It needs to be taken daily to keep muscle stores topped up; a single dose before a session does very little. That daily habit is the reason it belongs in the same serving as your electrolytes rather than in a separate tub.

The combination

Why creatine and electrolytes belong together

Most people end up buying these separately: an electrolyte tab for hydration, a tub of creatine powder for strength. They then take one and forget the other, because two habits are harder to keep than one.

Putting them in a single serving solves the adherence problem, and the two are complementary rather than competing. Creatine draws water into muscle cells; electrolytes govern how well the body retains and distributes that water in the first place. Taking creatine while under-hydrated is working against yourself.

The practical upside is that one serving a day covers both the daily saturation creatine needs and the rehydration a training session demands — no stacking, no measuring, no second habit to remember.

Recovery

Magnesium: muscle function and fatigue

Magnesium contributes to normal muscle function, to normal protein synthesis, and to the reduction of tiredness and fatigue. It's also one of the minerals most readily lost through sweat, and intake sits below recommended levels for a meaningful share of the UK population.

The form matters as much as the amount. 360 uses magnesium in bisglycinate and glycinate forms — chelated to the amino acid glycine — which are markedly gentler on the gut than cheaper magnesium oxide, the form that gives magnesium its laxative reputation. If you have taken magnesium before and disliked how it sat, the form is usually why.

Composition

Taurine: what it is

Taurine is one of the most abundant amino acids in human skeletal muscle and heart tissue, and it's found naturally in meat and seafood. It's also involved in the body's regulation of fluid and mineral balance inside cells.

It appears in most serious recovery and performance formulas, and it's included here as part of the complete-recovery profile rather than as a stimulant — 360 contains no caffeine.

Refuel

Carbohydrates: absorption and endurance

Carbohydrate-electrolyte solutions enhance the absorption of water during physical exercise, and contribute to the maintenance of endurance performance during prolonged endurance exercise. The carbohydrate isn't there for sweetness — it's part of the transport mechanism that moves water and sodium across the gut wall.

It also does the obvious job: replacing the muscle glycogen a hard session burns through. Refuelling in the window after training is one of the least glamorous and most reliable parts of recovery.

Repair

Zinc: protein synthesis and cell protection

Zinc contributes to normal protein synthesis and to the protection of cells from oxidative stress — the two processes that sit underneath the word 'recovery' when you break it down. Hard training raises the demand on both.

Like magnesium, zinc is used here in a bisglycinate form for tolerability.

How to use it

When should I take it?
During or after training for rehydration, or any time on a rest day to keep creatine stores topped up. Consistency matters more than timing.
How much water?
One sachet or one scoop into 500–750ml of cold water. Going lighter on water makes the mix stronger than intended and harder on the stomach.
Every day, or only on training days?
Every day. Creatine works by saturation, so the days you don't train are still doing work.
